Tennis Grand Slam Champions
Manuel Orantes was the 1975 U.S. Open Champion. He defeated #1 ranked Jimmy Connors in straight sets. He was also a 1974 French Open finalist, falling to Bjorn Borg in five sets. He won 36 ATP Singles titles and 22 Doubles titles, defeating the best players of the era. He was one of the finest clay court players in the world, and was ranked as high as #2 in the world in 1973. He was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2012.
